Walking

No Canal would be complete without it’s towpaths. Originally created so that mighty horses could tow barges the length of the waterway, most of them have been cleared and paved and are maintained to a high standard. For the most part they are away from busy roads, so they’re perfect for children and dogs, a quiet stroll or a good long run. There’s always something worth photographing too, so make sure to bring your camera.
