Our Mission Statement:

To protect and appreciate the nature, eco systems, structure, architecture
and Heritage, that we as a Community have in the Royal Canal.
To work with Waterways Ireland, and Local Bodies, to monitor and ensure that
it is used and appreciated by all, and that it is kept clean and litter free.
To promote members training in piloting skills, Water safety, and general knowledge via Float No. 3, our travelling museum and meeting place.
To work with other Community Groups on the Royal Canal, towards the final piece of Restoration – the ‘Missing Link’ – to Longford. This is the section from Clonsheerin crossover bridge to Longford Town.
To promote it’s Tourism potential and foster all types of sport and activities
by running competitions and Community festivals.
To organise and promote and support all rallies, especially the Western run, from Thomastown /Killucan to Clondara.
